Luisa D’Alessio, B.A. (Hons), LL. B, LL. M

Luisa is an associate lawyer at Dunsmore Law. She began her legal career at our firm first as a student and then proceeded to complete her articles with us. She has experience representing and supporting both employer and employee clients at the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, Ontario Labour Relations Board, Small Claims Court and in various Labour Arbitrations and Mediations. Luisa is personable, pragmatic, and passionate about helping clients pursue their legal rights.

Luisa completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto. While at UofT, Luisa volunteered with Peace by PEACE, a non-profit organization providing conflict resolution and community building programs for elementary school students within the City of Toronto. Through this experience, Luisa decided she wanted to pursue a career in law.

Thereafter, Luisa completed her legal studies at City, University of London. Attending law school abroad provided Luisa with a unique perspective on the development of the Canadian legal system, which has transpired into her work today. While in law school, Luisa was a member of the Canadian American Law Society, a member of the Student Union and served as a mentor to first-year law students. While abroad, Luisa took every opportunity to travel and experience different cultures. This opportunity provided her with exceptional life experiences that she could only gain outside the classroom.

Upon returning to Canada, Luisa completed her Master of Laws (LL.M) at Osgoode Hall Law School. While completing her LL.M., she worked at the firm and volunteered with Pro-Bono Ontario as a volunteer triage coordinator.

Luisa is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the Employment Lawyers Association of Ontario.

In her spare time, Luisa enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures, trying out new restaurants and cuisines, doing pilates and spending time with friends and family.
