Discipline and Discharge

Discipline and Discharge is a unique subject. Both non-unionized and unionized work places need to focus on this subject. We will adapt as required.

The union course addresses: progressive discipline, culminating incident, and arbitral discretion to alter penalties. The role of the Union and the way in which to involve the representatives is an important subject.

The non-union course focuses more on the purpose of discipline and the interrelationship with performance management. Last chance agreements and their negotiation are discussed. Relationship building and positioning help give perspective.

Case examples are presented and a workbook is available, if requested.
